The Box Tops Biography

While still in their teens, THE BOX TOPS was the FIRST group from Memphis to climb the charts with a #1 hit. THE LETTER spent an entire month at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1967. It became a worldwide top ten hit as well. Hit after hit followed including, CRY LIKE A BABY, NEON RAINBOW, SOUL DEEP.
Now the blue eyed soul of the BOX TOPS is back. Stronger than ever in an unprecedented reunion, FOUR of the original founding members, Alex Chilton, Bill Cunningham, Gary Talley, and Danny Smythe, are once again touring and recording.
Alex Chilton, lauded as the godfather of American Alternative Music (Big Star) leads the band in a rousing show highlighted by their gold hits as well as classic R&B songs, and material from their reunion album, Tear Off. It is an honor to present one of America's Legendary 60's bands.

We research to make sure this is the most accurate information available. This information however, cannot be guaranteed due to potential changes in Artist representation or historical fees not yet published in the trade journals (see our www.entertainmentrg.com FAQ’s page for more details). Upon receipt of the information included in the Consultation & Artist Info Package, Buyer agrees that ERG has fulfilled its obligations under this agreement and releases ERG from any and all liability to the maximum extent allowed by law, and will indemnify and hold harmless ERG, its directors, officers, employees, and agents, from and against any and all claims arising from this agreement and subsequent event including but not limited to all third party claims, losses, damages, suits, fees, judgments, costs and expenses (collectively referred to as 'Claims'), including attorneys' fees incurred in responding to such Claims, that the parties may suffer or incur arising out of or in connection with (a) a party’s negligence, willful misconduct, or breach of any representation, warranty, or other obligation under this Agreement, or (b) any personal injury (including death) or damage to property resulting from a party or its agents' acts or omissions and standard force majeure. The parties will give prompt notice of any Claim to the other party, and the parties will defend the opposing party at their request. This Agreement will be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of NEVADA.
